Large JCV File (D3060320A.JCV) Download Link

Thanks so much for posting the large JCV file so quickly everytime a new map comes out. Greatly appreciated by all of us who still need it.

Your prompt posting of the large JCV file makes the update so much less stressful. You provide a great service to our community.

If I understand the large JCV file and older models, your nuvi 765T should already get the large JCV file with each North America map update. Let me know, LMChu or others, if my understanding is wrong since I'll need to revise my FAQ if your nuvi 7x5 doesn't get it.

I still get the large JCV file with a map update on my nuvi 755T, so I am certain the 765 would get it also.

Not to ask too much but, if there is not a update on the
maps for my area, does that mean that there is not an
update for the JCV file also? On some updates there is nothing in my area, I think.

My guess is that they're unrelated so a map update with little local effect on the map could still have a larger JV local update. I'll also guess that for the GPS models that also offer Birdseye and whatever the "running lane guidance" is called would be especially prone to substantial updates unrelated to map updates.

You have to sign up for a "FREE" account otherwise you do not get the file !!!!!
There ain't no free lunch and I'm not about to sign up and be on someones SPAM email list.

Click on the download button. A popup will appear. Hit allow. The download will commence. It takes a bit, but works without an account. Obviously they would like for you to open an account. Just ignore the opportunity to do so.

I started the download and a short time later it stopped. A message came up that I have exceeded the download limit and to continue I have to sign up for a FREE account.

I have NEVER downloaded from there before!!!

I don't need this file that badly, I only wanted it for my back-up Nuvi 855!

Never had a problem yet downloading any large jcv file. Are you using Google Chrome, it always works for me and never had to sign up or got any exceeded messages.

I use Windows 10 and Mozilla Firefox.
BTW: I'm quite competent when it comes to computers. Around since Windows 3.1, that was before Plug'n play, and have built my own computer from scratch. In the days of desktops I was the one friends came to when they had problems.

Only thing I can see is that maybe their system didn't like my Mexican ISP address?

Melaq, a couple of days ago, you visited the site, then again today (or maybe last night or...)

It's possible that you started the free download two days ago and then left the site thinking you had to register. Then today you started the download a 2nd time. Given the size of the file and a possible two download attempts, maybe that triggered a "must register" alert.

Someone who downloaded the file without an account recently could try a 2nd download of it to test this hypothesis.

PS: Melaq, when I saw your first report that an account was needed, I went there and pressed the download button which activated a "please register" popup. I canceled the popup thinking you were right but then looked and saw that I was actually downloading the file. I agree that it is easy to assume you need an account to download files at the site.

Yeah, I got fooled by that also, but then, I also saw in the top left that it was downloading. However, I've given Melaqueman and alternative source.

For the thought. Tried twice and both times after a few seconds of download it came up "Failure"

I can still find my own way to the bathroom but I do not recall trying the download page on two different days Craig.

Using a VPN set for a USA location and so far the file is downloading. I usually only use a VPN from Mexico if I need to get into certain websites which will automatically be in Spanish ie PayPal,c. Autozone et.

This time it worked.

I was unable to get to the site last week.

So I'll try again this week.

I think sometimes those sites get overwhelmed.

Site and link works just fine right now. Just downloaded the file again at 7.4 MB/s in about a minute.

no account needed. It just takes a while for them to "prepare the file. You can see a progress bar at the top of the page. Eventually your save page will pop up.
