Large JCV file in DriveSmart 50

I've long ago given up on the 2797 to take the large JCV file.

The 855 does and I think the 3790 also, which right now is at my daughters.

So now my question is, can the DriveSmart 50 handle or take the large JCV file?

Map 2020.20 installed the 497,151kb file. If it can/does I don't really know how much of a difference the large file will make?

The large JCV file does not work in my DriveSmart 51, if that helps any. Sorry. I sure wish it did.

Doesn’t work, DS 50 is split screen.

You may be right about the DS 50 but it's not necessarily correct in saying split-screen devices can't use the Large JCV file:

See the above link under "Group 2."

Now I knew the large JCV file does not work in the 2797 and I now know not in my DriveSmart 50 either.

Even with the large file it reverts to the split screen with the map on the left and the "cartoonish" road to the right.
