New GE version 6.16.0.0 just out.
BTW: This is I think the first time it actually recognizes my SD card installed in the 855.
Or maybe I just never noticed.

It's come just in time for most folks to update their map(s). But here at The Factory, we're not most folks so we updated with the older version.

On a Mac
it will not update. It shows it downloads but the update continuously fails. Just like v6.15 I had to download from the garmin site for the update.

Yes but they're oftentimes days behind the release or never made at all. This update was pretty promptly logged.

Personally, I'm very curious why it has take Garmin so long to address this...

Interesting that it post dates the Map Update....
Usually the GE update predates the Map Update....
A 2689LMT in both our cars that we love... and a Nuvi 660 with Lifetime Maps that we have had literally forever.... And a 2011 Ford Escape with Nav System that is totally ignored!
Well ...
Most GE updates are to do with their watch and sports products lines, so I don't think you can draw any conclusions about updates versus map updates.
