Everybody have a great week.
Have a great day.
Mowed the grass and am now resting. Hope everyone has a good week.
Here we go again
Have a great week everyone
Good week all !
Did the first road trip in a new (to me) vehicle this weekend...
~500 kilometers. This 2017 Explorer Platinum has a LOT more poke than my old 2008 Escape V6. Need a much lighter foot on the gas.
a great and safe week out there.
Funny weather here. Got a little rain earlier today even though there was none in the forecast. High temps this week ranging from the 60's to the mid 80's. I love Spring.
the weather would stay spring-like
Working around the house...
supposed to rain later...
Everybody have a great week!

This is new
Hope everyone’s week has gotten off to a great start!
Be safe out there.
Luckily my # didn't have to report today, but get to call again after 5pm.
I think it's important to fulfill my civic obligation, I've just found that the other jurors are the worst part of jury duty.
Perhaps if I'm selected for one this week I should hand out the POI Factory Forum Rules at the start of deliberation!
I wanted to serve but never thought about what I would have to do.
I was called for Federal Jury duty and served on a murder trial with the death penalty. I was the #13 alternative jury but had to go through the entire trial as I was to vote if anyone had to be removed. It was a total of six week from the day we were chosen with several delays. It was a horrible trial. I was so glad no one had to be removed and I did not have to vote.
He was convicted and received the death penalty. That was in the 1990s and the last time I looked he was going through all the options of appeals but non had been granted.
This is a write up about it I found on line. I was on the Webster trial.
After reading the article I was scrolling to the end and saw Setphen Barbee. I knew him. He was a school friend and in the same grade as my daughter from 1st to 12th grade. His mom worked where I worked. Small world. SAD.
Have a good week.
Be safe ...... count your blessings ....
I don't think we have anything like that happening around here at the moment. I guess if we did I'd be a good choice, because I'm clueless about a murder case coming up.
I was sent home today because they called in too many people. Over 350 for one case. My group didn't even get to hear what the case is, they only had room in the courtroom for the 1st 80. I would have preferred to stay, have them go through the first 80 and then either bring the rest of us in or find out they got what they needed and be tossed back in the pool. Oh well. At least it gives me enough time to work on the camera file!
I am in my 70's and have never been called for jury duty. My wife has been called twice. I have always wondered why and how I was "spared" from this civic duty.
A friend of mine was there today and she gets a summons almost every other year! It makes her crazy. She's never sat on a jury either. I've sat on one. It only lasted a day. The defendant represented himself & carried a John Grisham novel for reference. I really didn't feel he was capable of representing himself, but I wasn't the judge. It was weird.
The weather is cold and rainy.
New car with built-in GPS, but it sucks. Spent the morning running all the wires behind the dash & console so I can run my trusty Garmin - love it!
Warmer this week.
Open the pool!
Enjoy the weather everybody!
Have a good rest of the week.
Hope everyone is having a nice week
3.5 inches of rain in Dallas since last night.
Half way there!
I was called for jury duty way back in the 1980s but not since then. At the time I begged off jury duty by stating I was a commissioned salesman and jury duty would adversely effect my income and ability to pay my bills. I was dismissed from serving on that jury and have never been summoned for jury duty again.
Now retired for the past 18 years, I would be open, but not enthusiastically so, to serving on jury duty now but I hope I didn't just jinx myself.
Have a good week everyone
Enjoy the week!
