I've collected a number of custom waypoint icons and included them in my Custom POIs. These were sent to my DriveSmart 61 using Garmin POI Loader. That all worked well.
Now I've started loading Routes created in Garmin BaseCamp 4.7.0, routes in which I've used waypoints that have my custom waypoint icons associated with them. However, the waypoints on the BaseCamp-created routes display the default Garmin green device waypoint icons when viewed on the device.
Any suggestions as to how to get the Routes on the device to ignore the default green icons? Perhaps change all the waypoints in the Routes to shaping points so that the waypoints layer of the Garmin map show through with the custom waypoint icons? Would doing so render the proximity alerts useless/inoperative?
