It appears that the Drive models have had updates in the past couple of days.
I don't own a Drive so I can't fire up Garmin Express to update anything but know many of you have Drives:
As always, many thanks are due to the maintainer of the GMapTools site for the information.
Here's a changelog for the DriveSmart 61, for example:
Changes made from version 2.70 to 3.00:
-Fixed an issue that caused certain routes to become incalculable when switching the device's Text Language.
-Fixed an issue that caused units to shut down after extended usage or when using the Up Ahead feature.
-Fixed an issue that could prevent the map from being drawn when approaching a destination.
-Improved reliability of alerts when exceeding posted speed limits.
-Improved software stability.
-Improved Wi-Fi compatibility.
Just a timezone update for Micronesia, Morocco an.d Alaska/
No need to update
I'm confused, yea I know, not hard to do.
What is this 2.70 to 3.00?
Both of my Drivesmart 61's are at software version 4.50 and the only update since 2020.10 came out was a time zone update.

Aha, in that example, the file was an APAC update and I see now that this means the GPS was an Asia/Pacific model, not a North American GPS. It appears that most/all of these updates don't apply here to North American, European, etc. owners of the devices. Thanks for alerting me to research this further.
