converting an .nvl file to gpx

Hi

Is there anyway to convert a .nvl file (on a pen drive) to a kmz or a gmx for a Garmin?
The file was for a Hertz Magellan "NeverLost" gps unit.
Have been told this is an exclusive Oracle based software for Hertz???
Any one help.
Thanks

Welcome to the factory

I have never heard of n .nvl file nor could I find anything useful on the web.

My first thought would be to use something to open the file and see if it is in a "text" based format or not. If it is not, I have no idea?

Keep us posted on your efforts.

Is it a trip you did in a Hertz rental and you want a copy for home. You can try Hertz and see if they can convert it to GPS or KML for you. From their website -

If they won't help you then open the file with a text editor such as NOTEPAD as Jgermann suggested. If there is any type of text and numbers copy a few lines and paste it here. That might give some of the helpful people here some ideas for you.

Be careful not to save the file while you are viewing it. Exit without saving. You don't want to change anything in the original file.

Thank you all.

This was a road tour from a company that a friend went on.
I opened it in notepad and recognised 95% of the info bar some odd items.
He was supplied a pdf of that road tour which contains the coordinates and details.
With his I have now made the gpx file.

Just was not sure what the stick contained originally.
