Live Police Reports Similar to Waze

I forgot to mention I came across Phantom Alerts and it looks outdated but wondering if this could be a service looking into for live police reports such as live radar traps etc.

What is Phantom Alerts?

Either a CB radio or a scanner receiver so you can listen in on the CB band.

Works pretty good.

I just checked, they have POI file for all different GPS brands with monthly, yearly or three years subscription plans. Once you pay then you download their poi files or I think you can use it on your phone app as well..
Not sure how good it is..

Download free app for I phone called 5.0 radio is a free police scanner it broadcast real police activity, local and out of states..

I also use Police speed trap on my Garmin, it tell me all possible police location hide out on street and highways.

How you use Police Speed Traps on Garmin? Is there some POI file you subscribe to?

There was a time when this would have been the way to go for sure, and it can still be useful depending on where you are. I have been into scanners for a very long time and the recent trend for police is getting away from over the air broadcast in favor of computer delivered messages and/or encryption. It's a dying hobby as a result.

Unfortunately, most LE and first responders have or soon will switch to digital so we can no longer hear or obtain their activity.

It's ironic how Waze used to have Traffic Reports as a list which included police locations too. Then Waze was pressured by some LE in the USA which caused them to remove the listing, yet the location of LE does appear if you're close enough or pan around the Waze app.

Sadly, there's no app that I'm aware of (and I searched extensively) which has real time info. Furthermore, many apps erroneously post fictitious locations of speed cameras where not exist. It's the same old concept: garbage in, garbage out.
