I need to have USB jack on my Garmin 1490LMT repaired. I tried using Sharcnet-USA repair request, but it doesn't seem to operate. Anybody know how to contact them?

I agree their website's Request A Quote option, which you need to start the repair process doesn't seem to do anything. I did find that you can message them through their Facebook page if you wanted to see if there was any response that way.

Yes, I had been thinking the same regarding an old 1490. One thing also to consider if deciding to proceed with the USB socket replacement is that if the 1490's battery is still the original, this would be a good time while the GPS is already opened to replace the battery.

And even if you are willing to pay the price of repair, you still have an 8 year old device that is woefully short on internal storage and gets the puny junction view file with map updates. It might make more sense to put the investment in a newer device.
