Hurricane Irma

They have started to evacuate the Keys and up to Miami.
Which is good as it is very low and will flood out fast.
This sounds great, but where are they going to go?
Gas stations are running out of gas very fast if not already.
A car only holds so much gas and if you are in bumper to bumper traffic it won't take you far. I am about 1 hr north of Tampa on the west coast I have a full tank in my Jeep.I would be lucky to reach Perry. On US 19 there are not a lot of places to get gas (even on a good day) there are very few motels and they are probably full already. There is no place to get out of the storm. It is only two lanes in most places.
I have a new roof (meeting all Florida standards)and my windows are rated for 200 mph winds my door has hurricane straps.
I am safer in my house than on the road with no chance to find gas.
We got a double shot. The refineries in Texas are shut down, so no gas from them
