New update found yesterday. Tried it out last night and it is definitely better.

Changes made from version 3.20 to 3.40:
Fixed an issue that could prevent wireless software updates from completing successfully.
Fixed an issue with connecting to WEP-protected wireless networks with short passwords.
Fixed an issue that caused the device to shut down when used with some third-party GPI files.
Fixed an issue that could sometimes cause the device to give inaccurate turn guidance.
Improved the quality of traffic service in some areas.
Fixed an issue that caused delays when using Smartphone Link.
Fixed an issue that caused LiveTrack sessions to be treated as motorcycle sessions.
Improved software stability.

It appears that the 3.40 update dated July 24, 2017 is available for the entire Drive 51/61 series.

Nice.. I did have trouble updated via wifi before. I own two DS 61-S now..love the unit.
Funny how it routes differently sometimes then my Dezl or 2797 did.
