Motherboard obtained a copy of a white paper sent to members of Congress and the Department of Homeland Security by CTIA, a telecom lobbying group that represents Verizon, AT&T, and other wireless carriers. In it, the carriers repeatedly try to downplay the discovery of an SS7 vulnerability that lets hackers track user location...and even potentially intercept communications.
