Temperature Information

Today was interesting looking at the temperature displayed on my Garmin Nuvi 3597. While I was driving though rural Minnesota, I noticed that the temperature displayed on my Garmin was 90 degrees! That was with data received via the HD radio signal. Then, I switched to Bluetooth and the displayed temperature dropped to 82 degrees. I toggled back and forth a couple of times and I consistently got the same readings.
I also compared the temperature displayed on my pick up truck's dash and it was much closer to the one received via Bluetooth data. Not a big deal, by any stretch, but I still found it interesting nevertheless.
Just guessing.. but
Same as different radio stations giving weather forecasts / temperatures.. No two are the same.. depends on where they are getting the information from.. or which way their windows face.

also the phone will give you another temp, and the other one I like is when they tell you there is a fifty percent chance of rain if it don't rain there right if it rains there right (another term for that is I guess)

And they most likely make more money than most.
Some years ago i heard rumors of $80.000 a year. They call themselves meteorologist's. I'm retired now but i can assure you on the whole they didn't do much better than i did by just looking out my window, and i had to work harder and had responsibility making 80 grand a year.

Just thinking the iPhone uses the real time data update through the internet quicker and faster where else the receiver uses the radio transmission thus it delays sync with the latest updates.
