Just missed it.

I was a few hours away about a year and a half ago and really wanted to see it, but was out-voted by my cohorts. I'm usually a bit more persistent but my thought was that it's not going anywhere, so I'll check it out next time.

Sad news indeed

I drove my 1985 Chevrolet Caprice through that tree back in (I believe) 1998 on my first (also solo) cross country trip from NY. I have the picture to prove it....somewhere. sad
