About time for the new update to 2017.4

I didn't have errors in 2017.30 where I go. BUT they finally changed an intersection from "turn right at the stop sign" to "turn right at the traffic light"--three years after the intersection changed.

Bump to Page 2.

...the new update will happen on Feb 17, 2017. Or maybe March 3, 2017. I'm not quite used to this 2017 business.

I'm not in a hurry. Patience is a virtue as the saying goes.

was good for me, as I was wanting to see the new I-69 segment in Southern Indiana added to the map. Don't really have any new roads I am waiting for.

I don't need it yet. Come mid-June we are heading out on a 8-10 week road trip. THEN I will need it!

I want the update before page 3, but I won't bet on it.

...and likely not gonna show up until after Spring arrives.

Well, the Chinese text file issue is over.....

I am hoping for the issues I posted will be part of next map upgrade... It will be the first thing to look for here!!!

I don't think I will need the up date until April then it a long trip south east then west then north east then west again. leaving Washington to Mexico via Arizona then Utah Colorado we will just neander all over until we run out of money lol

Has anyone ever figured out why the version numbers are off? I kind of remember reading about it somewhere. Could be my oldtimers kicking in though.

2017.1,2,3, came out in 2016.

I think it is just marketing hype ... trying to make their products sound more "up to date" than they actually are or more current than the competition.

It's probably Garmin's internal naming system, useful to them, not so useful (but manageable) to us.

will the new map be 2017.? or 2018.? why don't they just use the year and month its released so you get a 2017 map in 2017 instead of a 2017 in 2016 are they that confused that they don't know what year it is !

Seems that a sensible numbering system would be to have the year followed with the month of release with minor changes followed by another dot. As in 2017.02.03 which would translate to released in Feb 2017 with a minor fix in March.
But.. for reasons unknown to mortal folk.. A lot of software is already being marketed under the 2018 version..

Hope Garmin hurries up .... I understand a number of Hollywood people need the new Canadian maps.
