No
But you should let Garmin know so they can at least block any updates to it.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. They cannot "trace" a GPS by its signal from what I was told. I reported my stolen GPS to the police and provided the serial number. I was fortunate that they recovered it and were able to return it, but only because they had the SN. I also had it reported to Garmin, who disabled any updates. Once it was returned, they were able to restore it's "active" status. Good luck.
