Help Sounds

To get to the list of sounds, click on the link for "sounds" in the upper right corner (on the second line) of this page. Or better yet, hold down the Ctrl key while you click on "sounds" so that the page http://www.poi-factory.com/gps-sounds opens in a new tab of your browser - so that you still have a tab with these instructions.

On the page http://www.poi-factory.com/gps-sounds, navigate to a sound that you want to download. Note that left clicking on the sound will play the sound.

To download the sound, right click on the sound description and choose "Save Link as..". When the "Save As" dialog of Explorer open up, navigate to a folder of your choosing and click "Save".

Yes, the most important part to know is to RIGHT CLICK instead of LEFT CLICK and then select the option to "Save".

For most newer (as in at least the past 5 years) stick with WAV files as they can't play the mp3 files. You can download them, but you would then have to convert them to a WAV format before using them.

To use the sounds, make cure you check out this FAQ file on installing the sound files you find.

Thanks for all the replies, worked great. Just not used to "save link" rather than save as.
