Garmin nuvi 68 LM GPS

My Garmin Nuvi 2595 LMT is dying and I am looking at purchasing a new Garmin GPS. It seems that the Garmin nuvi 68 LM seems to be equivalent to or better than the nuvi 2595 with a larger display screen. The Live Traffic is one requirement I feel was useless for me, as its accuracy was questionable in my opinion and experience with it.

However I have a few questions about the Garmin nuvi 68, that I hope can be answered:

In the nuvi 2595 I changed the dashboard setting to display Direction, Present Time, Elevation and Speed, Is the option to change the appearance of the dashboard still available in the newer Garmin GPS’s?

Can routes created in Basecamp be imported into the nuvi 68 LM?

Can favourite POI’s be downloaded into Custom POIs Category?

Can Map Buttons be place in the Map View?

Can BC 30 Backup camera be installed so it could be used to monitor the traffic over taking me, instead of only for using reverse?

Pros and cons about the nuvi 68 would be appreciated

Thanks

If ...

... You look at the manual it should answer most of your queries, but basically the answer to all of your queries is yes, although I'm not clear what you mean about buttons in the map view?

Note though that the later nuvis don't have the 'dashboard' feature but you can set up data fields to the right of the screen that will provide the data you need.

However what I don't believe will work is using the back up camera as some sort of 'dash cam'??

The map buttons can included Live Traffic, Volume, Trip Log, and so on.

Do you mean that my Dashboard items: Time, Elevation can be included with the upcoming menu, gas stations, restaurants, banks, on the right on the Map Screen?

It seems that the Backup Camera can be used as a dashcam if it is wired to a continuous power source rather than the backup lights.

Well ...

On the newer devices you can only access those options from the map screen by hitting the menu icon bottom right. You can then choose up ahead, trip data, traffic etc

Yes, if you wired the backup camera so it's always on that would work but you'd then lose the GPS functions while you had it selected.
