I know on my back up files there is a folder for Tracker. Have not tried this feature out but here is the info.
How do I use the Tracker feature to allow someone to follow my device?
The Tracker feature allows a compatible Garmin device1 to send tracking invitations to other users, allowing them to follow the device's position. This invitation can be sent via the following methods:
Email Address: An invitation is sent to one or multiple email addresses and provides a link that can be opened from a compatible web browser, the Garmin Tracker app for Android, or in the myGarmin folder of a LIVE 2300 series Garmin device.2
Tracker ID: A unique identifiera on each Garmin device that has the Tracker application. The invitation can be accessed on a recipient's compatible device in the "myGarmin" folder under "Tools" or "Apps".
Facebook and/or Twitter: Similar to the email address option. An invitation is posted (along with a link) on your Facebook Wall or Timeline, or in a Twitter post. The posts are viewable by recipients using a compatible web browser.
To send an invitation:
Touch "Tools" or "Apps"
Touch "Tracker"
Verify that your device status is visible. (The status is under the "Hide Me" field.)
Touch "Here I Am" or "Follow Me"
"Follow Me" will designate an amount of time associated with the ability to follow.
Touch the desired field for how you want to deliver the invitation.
If sending the invitation by email or Tracker ID, enter the email or Tracker ID of the recipient.
Touch Done
Confirm the desired Trackers are selected
Touch "Next"
Select a message template or the option to create your own for the other user to see
If you are sending a "Follow Me" invitation, select a tracking duration.
Touch "Next".
The message summary is now shown. Any part of the invitation can be edited, if needed. If the information shown is correct, touch "Send" and the recipients will receive a Tracker notification message from the chosen channels.
1With current software and an active nuLink! subscription, Tracker is automatically available on the LIVE 2300 series.
To use Tracker on other compatible devices (see below), the device must meet the following requirements:
Must be compatible with the Smartphone Linkb application for Android
Must be running the most recent firmware version
Must be paired via Bluetooth and connected to the Garmin Smartphone Link application on an Android-based smartphone running Android OS 2.1 or higher.

Not There
just updated a co-workers 2797 and looked for the "tracker" app before the update and it was not there. After the update it appeared. Seems like you have to have the Garmin Smartlink running to make it work as described above.

Thanks for the heads up. Ran GE yesterday evening after 8pm EST and it didn't list any updates for my 2598, this evening it does.

charlesd, were you offered the two TTS3 voice updates automatically along with the 5.20, babycam, keyboard and text updates—or did you have to manually go to GE's Tools/OptionalUpdates/LanguageFiles/English to get them?

I went to WebUpdater and it offered 5.20 update.Showed update for Samantha and Jack on the next page after the main update. babycam, keyboard and text updates were all offered on WebUpdater.
