I know my unit is old, I think 5? (2450LMT)
Sometimes I wonder, why does it not recalculate, meaning we've veered off its suggested course for already 1 min, and it's tracking us properly, but does not reroute...
We still prefer it over the factory NAV, but I think Garmin will go the way of the dodo bird eventually....
When the put the L in the model, I don't really think it's designed to last for L. My .02 they want you to buy new

My 2450 is still rerouting us...
I agree with you I still prefer it over the factory installed model. I use the Factory for local stuff but for trips you can't beat the Nuvi 2450.
Maybe you need to do a hard reset to get yours to reroute.
