When I miss a turn, why doesn't my device tell me its recalculating
The "recalculating" announcement was one of the most annoying alerts and many people complained. However, when the announcement was eliminated, most people who missed a turn and were taken miles out of the way before realizing it were just as upset.
Although newer devices will no longer say "Recalculating," they still recalculate the route when a turn is missed.
Devices that no longer verbally indicate that they're recalculating the route are:
nuvi 30, nuvi 40, 50, 60, 2400, 2405, 2407, 2408, 2505, 2507, 2508, 2509, 2609, 2707, 2708, 2709, 3400, 3500, 3507, 3508, LIVE 2300 series, zumo 350, 390, 590, dezl series, RV 760, and Camper 760
