Custom POI's on SD Card

Since I am adding and deleting customs POI's and POI folders regularly, I am wondering if I could store these points on SD cards and insert the appropiate corresponding card into my nuvi 2595.

Do I use a folder on the SD Cards named "Garmin"?
Do I need to use POI Loader to load the POI points onto the SD Card or can I just copy the files(*.gpx or .csv) into the Garmin folder?

SD Card

You will need to create a directory named "POI" inside the Garmin directory, then you can copy the .gpi file created with POILoader into that directory. Hope this helps

To install custom pois on the SD card.Run Poi Loader like before but this time select the Memory Card on the pull down Device window. Poi Loader will create the folder needed on the SD card.

This is the probably the preferred way to do it, but...

Since your Custom POI already reside on the GPS, run POI Loader once and select the option on the 1st screen to remove them. Then run it a 2nd time as above to install them on the SD card that is now inserted into the GPS. This will eliminate duplicate POI.

POI Loader should remember your selections so that then next time your run it, the SD card will be the default location.
