In danger of losing your windmill?
Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).
Anything to keep your windmill alive.
This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.
Home Owners Association meeting. The Nuvi got me there, not sure it could do anything to change the meeting outcome
Still undecided where to go.
More trips around Wisconsin this week.
Trying to adapt one of my 1479 LMTs (I have two) to use on my Harley. Got the waterproof case and handlebar mount, but I don't like the way it bounces around (or the position).
I have a Road Glide, and I've ordered a different aftermarket windshield (Freedom Shield) that should allow me to mount it right above the radio (windshield is about two inches taller and not as raked back). If it works out, the GPS will be right below my line of sight without blocking any of my view and it will be directly behind the windshield....the perfect spot.
Looking forward to seeing if it all works together.
Just loaded the red light camera and speed camera files.
Now I need to find a camera zone to test them on. Nearest one is 100 miles away.
Hope it works right the first time....
No need to drive 100 miles to test. Put your nuvi in simulation mode, Find a route that contains one or more cameras. Set your current location to one end of the route and select the other end as the destination. Then simulate navigating the route to see if your alerts are working as expected.
Another trip to Secaucus, NJ and NYC.
Looking forward to this weekend with my brother. Gonna spend some of that quality time riding around the great state of Oklahoma visiting memorials sights for the Tour of Honor. GPS is all programmed and ready to show us the way.
to Maine this weekend..then to New Brunswick..
Wild stuff over the weekend with closures on major Silicon Valley freeways -- but with the Nuvi along to navigate, it's bail and head the general direction of home, ignoring its suggestions to get back on the (closed and jammed) freeway...
Golf trip to the Poconos.
I have never used detour but wouldn't it take you a different way if you punched it at the closures
Went fishing only got a nibble,i will be back
checking in !!!
Finding the fastest route from the local diving spot to the dive shop at the other end of the metro area.
Just a couple of weeks away from my next trip and looking forward to trying out my new 2689LMT. I've used it around town a bit and it sure is a beauty. Seems to be a nice upgrade from my trusty 265WT.
Went for the day to visit some friends. Nuvi 2598 with Smartphone Link traffic was super helpful.
Just moved to Edmonton Alberta from Calgary Alberta
Up to the NC mountains, checking out a few back roads.
trip to California scheduled for next week
keeping the windmill spinning.
Drove from AZ to Reno for burning man.
Headed to Florida next week. Gonna first drive to Panama City Beach to visit friends. And then eventually make my way down to Key West for a couple days.
Went to camp.
Going to Grande Prairie next week. 5 hour boring drive. Anyone know good restaurants?
There used to be really good places to eat there in Whitecourt, but it's been so long, I really don't know if it's still there, I think it was called the Green Gables Inn, and then even it's still there, I don't know if it's the same..they had a dessert called Flappers Pie..yummy..and there is a place in the mall that had some excellent Chinese food...
Just came back from a 1800KM, trip to Southern Indiana.HOT.
For this week, all my driving will be local.
A full weekend of riding plus ... a trip to drop my son back at university
both Nuvis performed well
Moderate traffic. Gas prices pretty good. Relatives stink
from BBQ at relative's house.
Just took the wife and mother-in-law out to Ormond Beach (River Grill) for the Labor Day weekend.
Went to the American Legion in Jensen Beach for a Clam Bake.
Took drive to Nanaimo for my Daughters birthday on Sunday.
Kenwood DNN992 worked great but for a 22015 deck the current maps
on device are at least 2 years behind with current speed limits, roads and places.
More room service! Whoo-hoo!
Having a bad week. Thank FSM it is almost over
You got me on that one ... had to look up FSM

Flying Spaghetti Monster
I know this is mostly a vehicle GPS site, but I was doing a photojournalism assignment yesterday with Florida Forest Service rangers on one of the last remaining fire towers in Central Florida in the Green Swamp. After my assignment I had some down time and I used my trusty handheld Garmin Colorado 400C to find an old gopher tortoise den I had marked and tracked about four years ago. The den was still active and the tortoise was nearby.
I'm doing a little research for a new GoPro camera, nature project on nests, dens, and burrows.
Pocono areas in PA
Took my NUVI 295W on a Holland America / Land cruise in June 2015.
Logged a new high of 64.84 deg north at Fairbanks AK

It was getting late and I wanted to get back to Fairbanks before sunset.
