last new update

Portland Or. maps are out of sinc now after my last new update.

I usually come into Portland on 84 and then i run down to

Los Angeles on 5 South. After the last update now my 760 tells

me to run back on 84 to 15. anyone having similar problems.

Update

It's not the map. It's the new routing algorithms that come with each map.

I just made a trip to AC NJ and this time my 3597 routed me the correct way, which was up the Eastern Shore and across the Delaware Bay via the ferry at Lewes DE.

For the last 2 years the 3597 has wanted me to go up I-95 thru DC and Baltimore. That way is longer, has white knuckle traffic and takes longer - no matter what the 3597's time estimate is. Of course, the tolls are less going up I-95, but that avoidance is off.

Where are you starting from? If I start a route near Portland, like Bridal Veil, OR it will route me I-84 to I-5. If I start a route from Pendleton, OR the Nuvi will not route me to Portland but uses Hwy 95 after sending me down I-84 toward Boise.

Getting routed all the way back to I-15 doesn't sound right. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that your 760 is a Dezi760 and it's using some "truck" logic to calculate the route. Another thought could be that you have an avoidance, like toll roads, turned on and that is forcing the different routing.
