Release notes.

For PC:

Garmin began rolling out Garmin Express v4.0.25.0 for the PC today. If you would like to upgrade to the latest version, Check for Updates to Express on the Settings page within the Express application. This version includes the following changes:

• Fixed an issue where “Re-authentication Required” was received multiple times when syncing.
• Fixed an issue where Express would crash during a sync.

For Mac:

I am not seeing release notes for Mac, so at this time this appears to be a PC only version.

I am not so lucky...

Getting a crying brief "! Failed" notification after a long incomplete fill of the scroll box when I try to update my 4.0.20.0 on WIN 7 SP1.

Bummer.

Again?

Not sure if all of these updates are a sign they are actively adding things and making it better or just fixing bugs they introduced with the previous version.

Bugs

I believed mostly fixing bugs.

No Mac version yet

Guess we have to suffer along with the old bugs and don't get the new ones for a while yet...

Windows users have all the fun -- more viruses, the latest bugs...

New Revision!

Actually, doing small tweaks to the software is a better situation for the users - namely us.

If Garmin waited until the list of fixes was 30 - 40 items long and users discovered a problem, then the "fix" will be harder to find due to all the various code changes and the "fix" would be longer in coming.

You must remember that no matter how much you test a software package --- There is no test like the American Public! There is no way Garmin can have every device out there hooked up to computers in a lab for testing. Nor can they have every software package available for testing. There is CAD software out there that costs $10,000 to $20,000 for a single seat. And yes, there are folks that work from home that have it on their personal PCs. Think of the cost of having all the devices and software installed in a Lab environment. Yes, Garmin can probably afford it, but in the end - the consumer (us) pays for it and that means higher GPS prices.

So, I'm glad Garmin is doing this! I don't mind the "little steps". In the end GE will be "as solid as a rock".

BTW - Nobody is compelling us to upgrade every time an upgrade is available. So please quit the whining.

THANK you. In all my years on the internet, I have never seen so many complaints about a piece of software being updated. I have only seen complaints about programs *not* being updated.

i only have one word
