Yesterday a lady blew a red light turning left, in her Honda Fit.
A person driving a Saturn VUE took exception--he sped up and made her slam on her brakes, and waved his fist out the window.
That was not the end of it. At the next stoplight, he got out, and began screaming at her. Wisely, she did not put her window down, as imho the person looked as though he might have taken heroin.
This was still not the end of it--he put his VUE in reverse, and backed into the woman. Then, when the light turned green, he made a left and was laughing hysterically.
Two things I believe--a) a RLC would have prevented the situation
b) if I had a dash cam, I think the guy in the VUE could be prosecuted
I think this kind of cr** will come to an end in the near future thanks to cams in general. Example, how do you behave on conference calls when you do video, vs. non-video?

Human RLC? For a minute I thought you were going to talk about that quaint idea of putting more cops on the beat. It seems what many areas need is:
1. Less robotic information gathering & for profit law enforcement, and instead a return to the honest human implemented of law & order.
2. And a local citizenry willing to pay a fair price for the recruitment, training & responsible supervision of an appropriately staffed, salaried & equipped criminal justice system.
You get the respect of law & a criminal justice system you are willing to pay for.

And yes I am of the opinion that we are currently in an era of a rising tide of lawlessness & chaos at many, many levels. It's time past due to throw the bums out.

All of the "high tech'ers" in politics will try to push for this new amazing progressive technology.
While they're at it, they will probably find a way to eliminate the harassment by the law enforcers at the end of the clip.

What if this lady had a gun? This guy could have wound up getting shot. I remember something like this happening a few years ago. Seems as if some guy took offense at something the driver in front of him did. At the next intersection, he approached the vehicle and started shouting and making gestures at the driver. Driver #2 pulled out a pistol and pointed it at the guy who had approached his vehicle. Driver #1 then ran back to his vehicle but driver #2 followed him. Driver #1 got in his vehicle but driver #2 started banging on the driver's window. Needless to say, the guy who started this whole affair was reduced to tears because he was afraid that he was going to be shot. Lesson learned! (Oh! Driver #2 then returned to his vehicle and went on his way.) I would not suggest handling something this way, but it worked this time.

I think this kind of cr** will come to an end in the near future thanks to cams in general.
Personally, I think autonomous cars will take care of this stuff first, and not a moment too soon. Elon Musk has indicated that highway self-driving Teslas will be coming along in the near future (e.g. some time in the next few months) ...
