How do I show or hide the trip log on my Garmin device?

Many Garmin devices will record a Trip Log (aka tracks) that can be displayed on the map screen. The Trip Log shows you where you've been whenever the device is turned on and has acquired satellites.

Follow the steps below to show or hide the trip log:

nuvi 30, 40, 50, 52, 54, 205, 465, 500, 700, 705, 800, 805, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400 series, 1690 LIVE, 5000 series, zumo 220, 400, 500, 660, and 665 series:
Touch Tools (Skip this step on some devices)
Touch Settings
Touch Map
Touch Show to display the trip log on the map or touch Hide to not display the trip log on the map
Touch OK or Save

nuvi 2200, 2300, 2400, 3700 series, dezl 560, LIVE 1695, and LIVE 2300 series:
Touch Tools
Touch Settings
Touch Navigation
Touch Automobile (see note 1)
Touch Trip Log
Touch Show On Map
Touch Enabled or Disabled
Touch Save

Note 1: Each Mode: Automobile, Truck, RV, or Pedestrian (if applicable) will need to be selected and changed to hide or show the Trip Log if desired for that mode.

Touch Automobile
Touch the gray box under the Trip Log heading
Touch Hide or Show
Touch OK to save the change

Touch the menu icon (three horizontal lines)
Touch Map Layers
Touch the box next to Trip Log to hide or display the log on the map screen
Touch Save
