C330 discontinued

Just like a car model that is not going to be made anymore..example:Alero made by Oldsmobile..those who have will still get parts for it. So I dont see why you wouldn't continue to receive updates for your Garmin. There are others with older Garmin models and updates are still available on the Garmin website....

As long as you own the C330 and have it registered with garmin you will always have lifetime updates for free just go to www.garmininternational.com

I assume mark23 meant that no NEW updates would be created for the c330. The old ones would continue to live on the garmin site.

I just purchase my Garmin C330, a very user friendly GPS, very easy to setup, only one concern, I plug in the AC adaptor to my car power point but it doesnt seem like charging, still symbol of battery running low comes on. I try to push it in as tight as I can, but no charging symbol comes on like the one I get when I charge it with the USB connector, is it the fuse blown so easy with my first try, I need help please!

I would suggest checking the car's outlet. Typically, if your unit charges fine through the USB to your PC, then it will charge fine when plugged into your car ~ assuming your car end is working. You can try metering the outlet, or using something else in the outlet (like a lighter or portable tire compressor). If these don't work, then check the fuse for that outlet in your car. If they do work, then you can go back to suspecting the Garmin male-end of the power adapter, or input plug to the unit when it's mounted in the bracket.

3 months ago my wife replaced my stolen c340. Now, c330 is discontinued. Wonder how long will c340 last?
I like my c340.

I looked today, and the C330 has been removed from their Discontinued list. Odd, maybe it was a mistake that it was set as Discontinued for a while?

I noticed that also, maybe the retailers cried foul??? With the summer season here this is their prime sales time for GPS. Best Buy had a hugh display when I bought mine 2 months ago. Imagine they've got tons of them to sell, not to mention all the other vendors, most of which still advertise them. Time will tell... Nothing lasts forever, h-m-m-

...also the accessory outlet may shut off when the ignition is off.

Check the end of the plug to ensure the center connector is not jammed, and will depress (spring-loaded).

From Garmin they should just pull it rather then letting people continue to buy it !!!! That stinks

so I guess it's on its way out...too bad for us. Wonder if they'll have any sort of exchange program available giving $100 off or something. Doubt it though
