Trapster replacement?

As many know, trapster.com is no more. I found it useful for speed-trap POI (places where radar-equipped cruisers often lurked), as well as (somewhat outdated) school warnings.

Has anyone found a replacement?

TIA

Might use Waze

I am not sure where you can find those listed as a POI but you might try Waze for (almost) live data if your using a smartphone. A lot of info about it can be found on the "Smartphones & Tablets" forum.

Waze?

Not clear on why you would suggest using Waze in a Garmin forum, but have you heard about these devices with large screens optimized for driving information and directions?

POI files to replace those Trapster used to supply.

If you can point me to POI files here on POI Factory, I would appreciate it.

What Are You Looking For?

If you are looking for a replacement to Trapster as it appears you are from the opening post, for the purpose of location awareness of LEO, then Waze is an option. A pretty good one at that.

When you are dead, you don’t know that you are dead. It is only difficult for the others. It is the same when you are stupid.

Waze

If someone can explain how to integrate Waze into my nuvi, I'd love to hear it.

Don't think you can. But, if you have POI Factory downloads on your Nuvi, and Waze open on your phone at the same time, you've got two sources of protection.
