Basecamp icons?

Does anybody know if it is possible to change/add to the icons supplied with Basecamp?

Yes, you can add custom

Yes, you can add custom waypoint symbols to Basecamp. First, you will need to either download or create the symbol. There are many icons on this site you can download. To have them available in Basecamp you need to
1) name them .000 thru .062; (ie: 001.bmp)
2) they must be saved in 24 bit bitmap format; and
3) they must be saved on your harddrive under My Garmin/Custom Waypoint Symbols in Windows, or /Library/Application Support/Garmin/Custom Waypoint Symbols in MAC

Be Aware That..

Icons created for Basecamp will not transfer to a GPSr unless the associated .BMP file is also created on the unit itself.

Thank you, it works. Could not find a lighthouse icon in the provided ones (I am sure someone will now point me to it!) and I had just picked up the POI file as we will be heading to Cape Cod after the snow is over.

Lighthouse Icon

On the upper right of the page click on Icons, then scroll down to lighthouse - there are 4 or 5 to choose from.
