Nuvi, Basecamp and maps on SD card.

This may have already come up on some long since post, however...I recently got CN NT Europe on a SD card. Plugged it into my 3597 and plugged it into Basecamp. The Europe maps (which I had looked at on the Nuvi) did not show. I had to put the 3597 into Mass Storage mode for the maps to show and load (very slowly)into Basecamp!
Also the card had the full screen Junction View file that displays very well on he 3597, didn't know that it was supported.

Is your SD card of the Europe City Navigator map the official Garmin product or some knock-off copy provided by a third party? It was my understanding that Junction View is NOT included on the Garmin SD maps, so this would represent a change in policy.

Is your SD card of the Europe City Navigator map the official Garmin product or some knock-off copy provided by a third party? It was my understanding that Junction View is NOT included on the Garmin SD maps, so this would represent a change in policy.
I may be wrong , but I suspect this is an Ebay special (unauthorized map) and the seller added the full junction view to the card.

Wow, looks like I opened a can of worms!. You are all correct, it is an Ebay purchase, used and a little out of date. I was a little suprised to find no UNL file on the card and many of the files have different dates, some were added latter? I wanted maps of major cities, the streets in London/Paris/etc do not change much over the years. If I/we take a trip I am unlikely to be driving anywhere, us elderly folks have trouble getting rental cars.

The first clue was the Junction View and second was there was no unlock code.
I would email the Ebay seller and tell him\her they sold a pirated map and demand your money back as well as return shipping. Tell him\her unless they comply you will contact Ebay and tell them of the pirated software.
