Did you try Googling it?

In under 2 minutes I found this:

Not official Garmin, so be wary.

Older Firmware Link

Give this site a look and scroll down for your model numbers.

If you still have, and are looking for firmware for the 680 and 760 you can find firmware for the 760.

I don't see anything for the 680 or or the 670 for that matter which is surprising.

I'm not sure the 660 firmware would work on the 680 so I wouldn't risk it . Maybe others more knowledgeable than I could comment or have other suggestions.

The 680 was a 660 with an MSN Traffic Receiver instead of the normal MSN vs. RDS/FM traffic receiver. I don't think there was any difference between the 2 devices other than that. Also the 660 was the same as the 670 except that the 670 had more internal storage as it contained both the NA and Europe maps.

Yes indeed, that's the one I go to first. But if you can't find what you want there, here's another:

This one is particularly good for finding voice updates.

Thanks For Advising

@marnoldi

If you want to use the 660 firmware, I would first do a complete backup with the current firmware loaded on the 680. Then choose whatever firmware version you want for a 660 and install it. The latest version was 4.90 that I have on my own 660.

I believe the MSN traffic, although obsolete, may still show up, but not work, since the traffic function is in the GTM20 power cable.

To eliminate the MSN traffic you could always use an inexpensive 12v Power Cable only made for the 660\680.
If traffic is important, you may look for a cheap GTM20 on Ebay that has a Navteq traffic subscription.

Thanks

Thanks. Of course the first sentence of my post should read:

The 680 was a 660 with an MSN Traffic Receiver instead of the RDS/FM traffic receiver.
