In danger of losing your windmill?
Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).
Anything to keep your windmill alive.

Just looked at Melaque, Jalisco, Mexico on Google Map and you are a long way down there.
Depending on where you are in Texas, but from Laredo, Nuevo Laredo it takes me 1 1/2 days and one overnight stop to get to my winter paradise. About a 1,000 miles distance.
Put it in google map and it is not as far as I thought.

Icy Roads
Had some severe ice on the roads yesterday through mid-morning. Delayed travel until the afternoon and the roads had cleared up - no issues. Very bad situation early on and unfortunately there were accidents all over the northern part of the state.

Well, I was supposed to take trip to Florida yesterday but had to cancel trip. Fell during little ice storm on Sunday and broke collarbone. Now I am spending my time with orthopedics and relearning how to do simple things onehanded.

Three years ago I was injured on my motorbike and broke the surgical neck on my left arm.
I used a salad fork wedged in my shoulder to hold down a slice of toast to butter it. Use a clean toilet brush with a face cloth wrapped on it to wash my back.
Being single, I found that servers in restaurants happily cut up my steak for me.
You may find people will be quite helpful in this situation!!

Looks like you need to keep safe. It must have been such a let down to have a trip planned just to have to cancel.
