update

I just checked my version / its not the latest/ settings are set for auto update but nothing happening when I launch garmin express.dumb me didn't look down far enough on settings page to start update . all is good .

Garmin Express Updates Release notes

I wish Garmin would have a link in Garmin Express to the release notes so you could determine what the update is for, what new features or bug fixes were included, etc.

When I got my Nuvi 2797 in December I took the plunge and installed Garmin Express. So far it has worked without any problems and I even used it to update my older units.

Garmin began rolling out Garmin Express v3.2.29.0 for the PC today. If you would like to upgrade to the latest version, Check for Application Updates on the Settings page within the Express application. This version includes the following changes:

Connect IQ app management improvements
Fixed an issue affecting a blank language select window during a map update

Installed with no issues, but...

The latest version installed fine, but noticed there was no prompt or pop-up from GE telling me there was a new version available. I do have it running in the background and set to notify when new updates are available. Likewise, with the last few map updates, I never see a notification that a new map is available. Again, I have it set to download new maps in the background with no restrictions on the scheduler (7x24) but even after waiting more than a week to download after the last release, GE never chirped.

FAIL

I downloaded Garmin Express this morning from the Garmin website. Instead of .29 I got .27. I've tried installing .27 several times. It downloads, but then fails while initializing. I was hoping .29 would solve this problem. Anyone know where I can find it?

My laptop is running Win7 32 bit.

Same problem.

I had to download Express .27 a second time and it installed. Then I could upgrade from .27 to .29.

frequent updates

Wow Garmin Express sure has a lot of updates - not sure if that is good that they're frequently updating it or bad because it's buggy. Makes me wonder....
