Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – November 2014

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).
Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

mouse house visit

Tuesday I went from Ft Lauderdale to Walt disney World. Spent 2 hours in traffic and not once did the NUVI 3597 show the accident on the GPS. Although while sitting in the traffic I looked it up on my iPhone and it showed right where the accident was for over 1 1/2 hours

Went to Fargo, ND and was unable to find a patio furniture store/garden center that was on the 2014.30 maps and wasn't on the 2015.20 map...

And it still thinks Costco is still accessible via a dead end road, unbuilt road!

NUVI40 Kingsport TN

took a trip

using the new 2015.30 map it still led me to a dead end road the town has been going to fix now for a couple of years its a dirt road and a culvert overflowed. there is a blacktop road it takes about 2 min longer but the dirt road has nicer viewing trees and stuff I guess Garmin cant account for every backwater short cut into some of these smaller towns lol .

The backyard?

Wait a minute... who am I here?

California here we come....

POIs all updated on the new (to us) 2555LMT. This will be the first long trip with new unit. Anxious to try some of the new features smile

Short trip

did a 15 mile drive to the nearest larger town a couple of days ago.
Keep the windmill going,ha,ha,ha!

Nuvi 350 long gone, Nuvi 855LMT, Nuvi 2797LMT, SmartDrive 50 LMT-HD, 3790LMT now my daughters. Using Windows 10. DashCam A108C with GPS.

Boston local -> Providence RI

No issues with the new map and happy to report that the unit flawlessly warned me of two Red Light Cams in Providence. Also, I know it's never mentioned anywhere in release notes, etc., but the screen graphics just seems better/sharper/improved after the last couple of map updates. One thing that is definite is there are many more side streets showing now once you are zoomed in enough. I clearly remember the map previously showing cross-street names on only one side as I travelled along.

First Week in November....

We followed a snowstorm, so, luckily didn't encounter anything bad...

Garmin (Now this was prior to the last update)... Worked Beautifully....

A 2689LMT in both our cars that we love... and a Nuvi 660 with Lifetime Maps that we have had literally forever.... And a 2011 Ford Escape with Nav System that is totally ignored!

Baltimore to visit museums.

Had a smooth ride on Thanksgiving going south on I95 early and north late. Northbound was very heavy in the AM. All good.

Back home after....

run to California to spend Thanksgiving with family. The new (to us) 2555LMT with all the new functions worked great!
