Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – November 2014

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).
Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Finished my 6,000 mile (10,000Km) trip

After 3 weeks on the road with a few days stays visiting friends along the way I am now in Mexico for the winter.
The 3790 certainly has some idiosyncracies I had never found before, well some I did.
Had it set for the fastest route and the stupid thing took me miles out of my way, that if it were set for the shortest would not have happened.
Problem is if set for the shortest it also does some stupid things, like taking you on an off ramp and immediately back on an on ramp just to save a few hundred feet.
But I had to find a hotel in Tepic, Nayarit (A hellhole of a city to drive in!!!) and the 3790 actually got me there, whether it was the shortest or fastest I can not tell since this is an unfamiliar city for me.

Road Trip

My wife and I are planning a little road trip to Conowingo Dam in MD. This time of year dozens to a couple of hundred bald eagles arrive at dam and feed off the plentiful fish.

We hope to see some in action and photograph as well.

Safe travels to all.
