traffic receivers

Have Nuvi 1450, No T on the end. I have receivers GDB 55 and GTM 25, MSN direct is no longer and I haven't been able to answer my question of,
Will the replacement rcvr recommended by Garmin work with my GPS? Would the MSN icon change" or will it simply be plug and play compatible?
My reading about these here and what software updates are available per receiver on this subject, and at Garmin site didn't clear up my concerns as yet.
Any advice please? simply would like traffic feature working after all this time without it

Traffic receivers
The MSN traffic service was discontinued long ago, so your GDB-55 receiver is only good as a power cord. It is no longer possible to put traffic service on that receiver.
According to the spec's in this Amazon page http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-Traffic-Receiver-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B001MU246A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1412797335&sr=8-1&keywords=garmin+gtm+25+power+cord, your 1450 should be compatible with the GTM-25. So it seems you should be able to get Navteq traffic service with it. Usually the traffic subscription is tied to the traffic receiver, but it is possible the subscription has been disabled on your device. I did a quick search on Garmin's site, and under accessories for your 1450, it shows traffic subscriptions.
After clicking on NAVTEQ Premium Traffic-North America, it definitely shows the 1450 as compatible; however, it is unclear which traffic receiver/power cable you also need. The list includes the GTM-10, 11, 20, and 35. May be someone on the forum has experience with your model and can clarify, otherwise, you might want to call Garmin for advise.
