Using mapsource, is there a way to find a co-ordinate designated as: 39.951985, -75.169531
rather than N00.00.00 W00.00.00
I cannot seem to find the right setting. I found how to do it in basecamp but I like using mapsource better.
TIA, Ted
try this
basecamp
edit
options
position
then alter grid
maps source
edit
preferences
Positon
then alter grid
I found that
basecamp
edit
options
position
then alter grid
maps source
edit
preferences
Positon
then alter grid
drop down and tried all the options...no go...was just curious if anyone had figured out a work around or something else I might have missed. Thanks for the reply!
BTW in Basecamp you go to find>locate co-ordinates>paste into "center at">recenter. It will automatically convert to the Garmin approved Lat/Long designation for you.
"You can't get there from here"
did you
hit apply, then save???
Yes...

Remove the comma
In Mapsource, go to EDIT > PREFERENCES > POSITION and set the grid to Lat/Lon hddd.ddddd. Then set the Datum to WGS84 or NAD 83.
Eliminate the comma between the latitude and longitude and Mapsource will find the position you indicated.
Excellent...
Mucho Appreciado! Works like a charm!
