Which do you consider the best? I'm leaning toward the 2555...
Both the Nuvi 2555 and 2595 are relatively full featured models and are a reasonable value for their $179 US and $199 US list prices.
The 2555 lacks the voice activated navigation and Bluetooth functions of the 2595 which may not be a factor in your case. The way the laws are going here in the US, the voice activated navigation may become a necessity in the future.
The Bluetooth functionality might also be a factor if you have an Android smartphone. You can link the phone to the 2595 using Garmin’s Smartphone Link software to provide additional features.
IMHO, here in the US, it would be worth the extra $20 for the added features of the 2595.
Penny wise, pound foolish.
If the added features of the 2595 are of interest, it would be better to purchase them now than have a unit that doesn't meet your changing needs.
If it was me I would go for the 2595. I would also by a refurbished one rather than new for substantial savings. Below are links for both the 2555 and 2595 refurbished units. It's odd that the are the same price of 120.00 with free shipping.
When you see an ad that states manufacturer refurbished you will be getting a brand new looking unit that has the same warranty as a new one. My friend bought a refurbished 2595 and looks and works great. When it is a refurbished unit it is thoroughly checked since they don't want any returns. In the future I would only buy a refurbished unit for the value.

Edited: Oops, just noticed you are in Canada, they company does not ship to Canada, only the lower 48 states. I don't know if its practical, but if you know soembody in the USA have it shipped there and they can forward it to you. Both units come with Canada maps.
We bought a refurbished 2595 and couldn't be happier. We don't need or use the Traffic function, so can't advise you on it, but everything else works as advertised. Great unit for us. Don't know anything about the 2555. Good luck in your search...
the nuvi 2595 LMT at Amazon for about $130 .
I own one myself and love it !
...and I see the GPS Store has the (factory refurb with 1-yr Garmin warranty) 2597LMT for $140. Many here bought our 3597 refurbs from The GPS Store with great success. The current 2597LMT seems to be their only refurb available for automotive Garmins right now.
Doesn’t help member wdjohnson2 since the $ 130.00 is US Price Canadian price is $169.99 from Amazon Canada.

That's a good price for 2597 as a refurb. The GPS store seems like it ships to Canada but I don't how much it would cost, I suppose if you put it in the basket and fill in Canadian address you can get a rate, I'm not sure if they add in Customs charges or you have to pay Customs on delivery..
Here is shipping information:
The 2595 probably has more storage as well. Perhaps owners here can verify that.
It looks like all discussed models are 8GB ones except the 2555 which may be either 4 or 8:
If it is only 4GB don't get it. New maps will soon have to be put on SD card.... I forgot to look for that on my 2450.
Costco in Canada was selling the 2595LMT with the dash bean bag for $149. I paid $250, when it came out.
It is a good unit. Bluetooth works with the iPhone (4 and above). Couldn't get it to work with Smart Link app (some say it will work, Garmin says it won't). Speaker volume is a little low, but it is useable once the phone call is made. Comes with 8MB built-in.
