POI files are a lot like music files. When you purchase a license to use the file, there are usually limitations on redistributing or sharing the content.
There are "pirate" sites out there that illegally post content or links to stolen data, and you can run into legal troubles with downloads from these less reputable places.
From a legal standpoint, files that you haven't created yourself are usually not safe to upload to POI Factory.
