Garmin StreetPilot Onboard Vs. Garmin Viago

So, if someone were buying an Apple iPhone 5S today and wanted a Garmin app, would they be better off with Garmin StreetPilot Onboard or Garmin Viago?

Depends

I have GSPO on an Apple iPhone 4S and it is wonderful. It is like integrating a very well featured Garmin GPS into an iPhone. So now the Garmin GPS runs on the solid Apple hardware.

From what I can see, the GV is a spiffed up Apple or Google Maps app that you can then add many different options. Although it looks inexpensive to get started with GV, you might end up spending quite a bit and arrive at a GSPO equivalent.

GSPO has all data resident in the phone, so it can function completely without a cell system connection. With GV, if you do not add the optional offline mapping, you will have to think about what you are doing and download the maps if cell service will be absent. GSPO also has several optional additions available.

So look over both options and what it will take to get them to what you want to end up with.

When you are dead, you don’t know that you are dead. It is only difficult for the others. It is the same when you are stupid.

Now that Viago has been out

Now that Viago has been out for a while, how would you compared it with the street pilot USA that's been out for a long time? I have both on my iPhone but want to get rid of one to save space. Any comments?
