2 Km/h

At certain areas around Ottawa, I get speed limit readings of 2 Km/H; this happened with my 855 and now with my 2597, usually for just a few hundred meters. Not a big deal, by annoying at times.

Speed limit readings?

Are you talking about speed limit, GPS speedometer reading or a speed alert? If it is a 2 Km/h speed alert you are getting, you probably have a custom POI loaded that has the digit "2" in its name (something like Pizza2Go.CSV). If that is the case, You can resolve the problem by renaming the CSV or GPX source file so it contains no numbers in the name, then reload your custom POI's with POI Loader.

If the speed limit is actually showing as 2 Km/h for a stretch of road as your post says, it is a map error and should be reported to Garmin or Here (Navteq).

The most common result for this error

Is that a poi file has a number in its name. Check the pois you have loaded for this and rename it.

Agree

I agree that the most likely cause is a custom POI speed alert. This would happen whenever you drive past a Pizza2go, for example. You would see the 2 Km/H speed in the top bar of the nuvi screen, not in the speed limit which is in the lower left corner of my nuvi 3597.

I have never heard of a map error with such a low speed limit.

Yes, showing in the speed

Yes, showing in the speed limit in lower left corner. Has been happening for at least the last three map updates. Tho't it might go away with the 2597.

Just to clarify, are you

Just to clarify, are you talking about the posted speed limit, or the display of the actual speed you are going?
