Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – June 2014

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

City Navigator Europe

I'm going to England in August and have been considering buying the City Navigator maps for Europe. Has anyone out there used these maps and, if so, are they worth the $99 price tag?

Went to the bank.

Shopping/Work

Another week close to home with the usual trips to the store and work. Pleasant weather and tolerable traffic for the most part.

Beautiful View

Our last trip is our current trip and we have an RV campsite overlooking the quaint & vintage city of Central City, Colorado. The city by day and the lights by night. The panoramic view of the city and the mountains is right out our windshield. Just wonderful.

Our GPS units were invaluable in getting around these parts and have made the vacation, in general, more trouble free.

No Windmill

Well, I don't have a windmill, but I wanted to note that I just returned from Black Hills, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. The Garmin was a great help, although at the time, I did not know how to customize routes. It did, however, take me down two closed roads in Kansas. I hate traveling Interstates, but sometimes I guess it's the safer way to go.

Baltimore/Back

Made a trek to the Baltimore area and back. Traffic was backed up going the opposite way - for no obvious reason, but we hit very light congestion. Weather conditions were clear. Smooth trip both ways.

Chicago

Always using Red Light/Speed Cam poi's when visiting this obscured place for a nice dinner. It's crazy how the map is all lit up with he POI's of Red Light cameras these days. Every corner pretty much.

Stuck at home, after two surgeries for detached retina. Real bummer. Three weeks post op. Eye full of heavy gas to keep reattached retina in place. Can't see anything out of right eye.
