What Happened to the SEND function in Mapquest.

I have always been happy with using Mapquest.com to create routes and send them to by various Nuvi models especially because the function seems to come and go (mainly go) from Google Maps. Anyhow, I created a route today and went to SEND it to my Nuvi 3597 only to find that the SEND command has dissappeared from the upper right corner of the Mapquest map screen.

Has anyone else noticed this? Can you confirm that Mapquest has dropped this feature? Am I blind?

Still There

It's still there for me. Have you recently updated your system?

Not

Not that I know of. I just type Mapquest.com in my browser and the normal Mapquest screen appears but the only items in the right hand side are:

no Send.

But the plot thickens. I am using the newest release of Firefox. If I open Mapquest in IE the Send function with Send to Garmin GPS still appears there.

It also seems to still be available using Chrome.

Delete Browsing History

Go to tools in the browser and delete browsing history. Then try the link that I sent you.

Mapquest.

Didn't Mapquest used to partner with Navteq (now Here.com) for their maps? I see now on the copyright notice at the bottom of the map that they are listing a TomTom copyright.

Hopefully removing the "send to Garmin" link on Firefox is not a sign of things to come.

That's what I'm using. Clearing the cache in Firefox didn't help but I got all my routes for an upcoming 1700 mile trip done using Mapquest and Chrome. grin

Works For Me

The send showing Garmin works for me both on IE and Firefox.

I'm using an old Firefox browser V 17.0.1, I subscribe to "if it ain't broke don't fix it".

Maybe the new and improved Firefox version is causing the problem.

Could be

Could be but it would be recent. I've been using Mapquest without issue but haven't used it for about 2 to 3 weeks. At some point Firefox got updated to 27.0.1 but I don't remember when that happened.

"send" still there

Using Firefox 28.0, Win 7, professional, 64bit, the "send" function is still there in the upper right corner

Without a route, can only send to email and Facebook

Created a test route with "more > routing tool" in the top-line menu. Additional choices showed up in he "send": mobile, car and Garmin GPS.

Click on Garmin, I was offered to choose Route or Waypoints to send.

The test route checked out fine with Mapsource.

Firefox 27.0.1

I'm still using FF 27.0.1 and Maqquest still has the "send to GPS"

Its the new Google Maps that has that feature deleted, so no more Google for me!
