Programmatically download POI Icons

 

Is there a way to programmatically download Icons similar to the poisync method used for POI files?

One of the difficulties you woud have to work through is there may be several icons listed for a single POI. Once you select an icon, you don't need to refresh it every time you update the data file.

The data file name does change on occassion. Rest Areas Combined is a good example. It always has a "ver" suffix.

It's necessary to make sure your icon name and data name match, in this case. I usually change the data file name after I dowload it.
