Well the counter stops at 53 days!! We are getting rain here in Sacramento. Steady, soak in kind of rain we need to replenish the ground and our plants. Weather people say it will rain well into the night.

it's 21 degrees on our deck and there is still an inch of snow on the ground from Tuesday. I'm ready for Spring!!!
I've been to Phoenix in the summer.
And it will be 120 in the shade next summer! That is if you can find any shade. I'll take my chances with the snow we get every five years here in Georgia.
If the local politicians had done what they normally do, as soon as someone uses the "S" word close everything and send everyone home then we wouldn't have had the problems we are having.

Change the Highway Supervisor to an elected job!
...If the local politicians had done what they (are supposed to) do, as soon as someone uses the "S" word close everything and send everyone home then we wouldn't have had the problems we are having.
Now around these parts the Highway Supervisor is independent of the Town Supervisor, & is responsible directly to the taxpayers. How? He is directly elected every 4 yrs & his budget appears as a line item on our annual real estate town tax bill. And yes, you can actually walk into either of their offices & they actually come around & campaign door to door here

Almost thru the week
Been a hectic week - just able to take the time to join in !
Spent the week running my S.O. back & forth between medical
appointments, tests and consultations before she has surgery next Monday
for Breast cancer !
The next couple weeks will probably be a bit hectic too !
Was going to try and update the Rest Areas Combined file but it'll
probably be several weeks away !
Hey - we take things one step at a time.
Actually had made reservations for a 10 day trip to Calif. starting
next Monday but obviously that has been cancelled !
Travels will be limited for a couple months !
