i currently have a Garmin nuvi and just bought a new pioneer radio that allows use of an add on nav system wondering if i should abandon the Garmin and go for the built in nav system what would id be better off doing any ideas

Did The Same Thing

I too had a Pioneer DVD system installed along with the nav unit. I like the nav unit but (there's always a but) the unit's RLC and Speed alerts leave something to be desired. I keep the Nuvi down low and just use its RLC and Speed alerts. So far this has been working fine for me.

Also, the Pioneer system's traffic, construction, road closings, etc. is excellent.
