That's is good! Looks like

That's is good! Looks like you have to add the N & W to get basecamp to recognize the coords...

Hopefully this helps Turbo

Hopefully this helps Turbo out with EPE.

Copy and Paste

Just tried the New Google by copying and pasting coordinates to Garmin BaseCamp FIND>LOCATE COORDINATES, the copy and paste function doesn't work like with Classic Google Map... What's Here
Changed the grid no results.

Doing research on couple forums...

Any ideas?

DGN MTF, IBA, MOA, BMW 1200GSA My picture...I was doing a charity ride in Georgia, got my picture with my bike and mural required...then a nice lady ask if she could take my picture...I agreed...when I downloaded this is what I got... just call me M

Format

Google uses the format:

37° 39.934', -78° 33.546'

BaseCamp uses the fomat:
N37° 39.934', W78° 33.546'

In Basecamp's preferences it shows using
Lat/Lon hddd° mm.mmm' which means you have to have the N and W without the + or - on the Longitude. All three of BaseCamps prefs require the N and E/W with the numbers. Which, in my opinion is wrong. Google's format i perfectly valid and Basecamp should accept it.

Edit: After searching through Google maps info, there is no way to make Google output hddd° mm.mmm'. Now if you manually paste Google's output to BaseCamp, then manually edit it to Add N and E/W and remove the +/- then it works.

Agree!!

Thanks...as you described...I tried all the combos and find the same as you did...

Think I post over on Garmin Development page this issue and see where it goes...

The Classic Google map with "What Here" and Garmin BaseCamp still works... guess I hang with Classic .

Yep

Yep, that's why I keep using Google Classic. I actually don't use Basecamp very much at all because of it's odd quirks. I use Delorme, (run windows in a virtual machine). It's a lot more intuitive and easier to use. Even Streets and Trips, (GASP!) works better than Basecamp.

Thanks for the info.

Thank you for posting this. I really missed not having coordinates. I'm glad Google brought them back.

Great to know. Thanks!

Great to know. Thanks!

"Wish list"

I posted on the Garmin Development page and was acknowledged and said they have started a "case" for the request... See where this goes?
