Nuvi 2555 LMT not showing installed icons for all POI locations...

I've noticed that the custom POI icons show up for a good many of the POI's I attempt to pull up; however, there are several that do not show the icon, but pull up as a specific restaurant or hotel. Is this an issue where the specific location in not listed in the text of the .csv or .gpx file? I haven't seen it pull up for any of my customs if I specify a custom poi from the category list.

Any thoughts/ideas?

If these are custom POIs that you have loaded onto your Nuvi using Garmin's POIloader software then icons will only appear for those POIs where the POI file on your computer and the icon file also stored there have the exact same name. For example if you have a custom POI file called Holiday Inn.csv or Holiday Inn.gpx then you also need a file containing the icon and that file needs to be called Holiday Inn.bmp

POIloader will install both the POI file and the BMP file in a .gpi file on your Nuvi and the icon should then appear for all the locations in the orginal POI file.

Zoom Level

Assuming that you have named the Icon for a POI file to be exactly the same character string (to the left of the extension) as the POI file name (.csv/.gpx) itself, Icon will only show up if you are zoomed in to 200 feet or less.
