Garmin New Release Announcements

Does anybody happen to know what the pattern is currently for Garmin regarding announcing new products? Is it at shows like CES or completely separate from trade shows? Or does it depend on the product line? For example, are aviation products announced at Oshkosh and automobile navigators announced at a car show?

No pattern

From what I have observed, Garmin has no pattern for new product announcments. They keep unannounced product information pretty close to the vest, so it is anyone's guess what they are doing or planning. Sometimes a new product is available almost immediately after it is announced. Other times it takes months before it hits the shelves.

I tend to go to CES every

I tend to go to CES every year and usually they will demo the new products that will be released around April of that year

Well, CES 2014 is only a month away. http://www.cesweb.org/ I keep hoping that the Garmin Nuvi3592LM will make it to the United States. If it doesn't, maybe I will just buy it from an Asian dealer.

Was wondering when garmin

Was wondering when garmin would integrate a video camera into the PND. I would consider replacing my 2797 only if the new unit was a 7". Just cannot go back to smaller unit.
